Ask me anything   Submit   The Beginning   Thoughts   Why so serious ?   Spectru de Cugete

I cannot fully understand why most of the people choose to stay away from fear, from pain and failure, therefore from sadness .They are likewise some fools, avoiding themselves for the dummy misconception that it may be unplesant. Rejecting such a noble feeling it comes with its costs: fickleness, tension, often abeyance/idleness. You must be true to yourself and experience both sides of the coin in the light of the fact that this approach will get you in touch with your other self, that you ran away from, and eventally enable you a state of eudaimonia. Stamina, understanding, serenity and kindness arise of gloominess, its obsurity is the most propitious factor for this values to thrive. Ultimately it is to be remembered that the light was not born within itself but within the darkness.

"The contemplation of celestial things will make a man both speak and think more sublimely and magnificently when he descends to human affairs."

"You just have to play to your own strengths you were born with. If you’re born a water bender, you don’t say you wish you could be a fire bender just because you see people beautifying fire- no, you level your water bending shit up and start controlling people’s fucking blood! Screw fire. Screw it’s beauty. You got your own beauty, your own strength."

"Don’t fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have."

"You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage—pleasantly, smilingly, nonapologetically, to say “no” to other things. And the way you do that is by having a bigger “yes” burning inside. The enemy of the “best” is often the “good.”"

"I learned that the only way you are going to get anywhere in life is to work hard at it. Whether you’re a musician, a writer, an athlete, or a businessman, there is no getting around it. If you do, you’ll win. If you don’t, you won’t."

How to Develop Willpower →

onlinecounsellingcollege:

1. Make a list of those situations where you find it really hard to have willpower.

2. Brainstorm for ways that you can start to feel more positive about demonstrating will power. For example, plan to reward yourself every time you do something you really didn’t want to do.

3. Break bigger, more…
